Through the Edmentum Courseware platform, we offer a curriculum for adult learners with more than 400 engaging courses. Courses address a wide range of educational needs including original credit, credit recovery, career readiness, college readiness, and higher education options.

Algebra 1 – Online, Self-Guided

Course Description: A 1-credit AHS course through Edmentum, this course is Common Core aligned. Class focuses on math concepts such as representing data through graphing, using mathematical models to solve problems, analyzing and interpreting data, and writing and solving equations.

Biology – Online, Self-Guided

Course Description: A 1-credit AHS course through Edmentum, this course begins with an introduction to the nature of science and biology, including the major themes of structure and function, matter and energy flow, systems, and the interconnectedness of life. Students then apply those themes to the structure and function of the cell, cellular metabolism, and biogeochemical cycles. Building on this foundation, students explore the connections and interactions between living things by studying genetics, ecosystems and natural selection, and evolution. The course ends with an applied look at human biology.

Chemistry – Online, Self-Guided

Course Description: A 1-credit AHS course through Edmentum, During this course, you will learn chemistry fundamentals with a focus on real world applications. This college prep chemistry course covers inorganic, organic, and biochemistry. A self-directed online course.

Economics – Online, Self-Guided

Course Description: This is an online, self-guided class that earns 0.5 AHS diploma Social Studies credit. This class covers basic economic problems such as scarcity, choice, and resources. It also covers market structures and international trade.

U.S. History – Online, Self-Guided

 Course Description: This is an online, self-guided class that earns 1.0 AHS diploma U.S. History credit. This class covers historical inquiry, review of events and principles behind the founding of the U.S., and analyzes societal issues, trends, and events from the Civil War to the Great Depression.

  1. Request a transcript from your last high school.
  2. Make an appointment with our counselor for free credit assessment.
  3. Make a plan for completing your remaining credits.
  4. You may be eligible for experience and work credits if you have been out of school for a while.
  5. Register for credit classes you need.  Some scholarship funds are available.
