At their December meeting, the Board of Directors of the Dover Adult learning Center took up a collection and selected two local non-profits to support.
In this an annual tradition, the DALC Board takes submissions of potential recipients, discusses the work they do and how it relates to adult education and literacy. The process provides an opportunity to reflect on the value of partnership and fosters a spirit of giving throughout the nonprofit world.
This year the board collected $300. A $200 contribution was made to the Triangle Club of Dover and $100 (courtesy of a single donation from Rolly Janetos) went to the Dover Children’s Home.
